To whom you may concern

I'm David, The second grade students of Thomas University student.

I have a trouble with my university life. Can I change my registration of class in this term?
I had registered a statics class before I received my part-time schedule. Then I found I cannot attend the class due to overlapping my part-tine shift.

To whom it may concern,

My name is David, a second year student at Thomas University.

I am having trouble with my schedule this term. I registered for a statistics class, but the class time now conflicts with my part-time job shift. Because of this overlap, I cannot attend the class.

It is very important for me to resolve this issue so I can continue working while completing my studies. Could you please let me know if there are any options to change my class registration, or if there are alternative sections or courses available?

Thank you for your help.

A1. "To whom you may concern"
⏩️ To whom it may concern,
定型表現である「To whom it may concern」の「you」が誤っていました。

A1. "I'm David, The second grade students of Thomas University student."
⏩️ My name is David, a second year student at Thomas University.
「The second grade students of Thomas University student」は文法的に不自然で冗長でした。「a second year student at Thomas University」とすることで、大学の「2年生」であることを自然かつ簡潔に表現できます。

A1. "I had registered a statics class before I received my part-time schedule. Then I found I cannot attend the class due to overlapping my part-tine shift."
⏩️ I registered for a statistics class, but the class time now conflicts with my part-time job shift. Because of this overlap, I cannot attend the class.
次に、「registered a statics class」は「registered for a statistics class」のように前置詞「for」を使うのが自然です。さらに、「overlapping my part-tine shift」という少しぎこちない表現を、「the class time now conflicts with my part-time job shift. Because of this overlap, I cannot attend the class.」

Dear Mr. Evans,

My name is Yamada Taro. I recently moved to the city and I am interested in joining your sports club, especially the modern dance group. I think the club would be a good fit for me because I have practiced social dance before, and I want to continue learning and meeting new people through dance.

I tried to register on your website but had some trouble with the online registration. Could you please let me know how to apply for membership? Also, I would like to know about any upcoming events or activities for new members.

Thank you for your time. I look forward to your reply.

Best regards,

I believe teachers should assign students’ seats, but also encourage students' independence. At a young age, children can easily get their feelings hurt if they have conflicts with classmates, so having teachers arrange the seats can help create a safe classroom environment. However, it's also important for teachers to involve students in discussions about seating, so that children learn how to express their opinions and understand the reasons behind such decisions. In the future, these students may play a similar role and think about what is best for others in their community. An excellent teacher assigns seats thoughtfully and gives students a chance to share their thoughts.

A1. "children often get hurt their feeling when they had some troubles with their friends."
⏩️ children can easily get their feelings hurt if they have conflicts with classmates
「get hurt their feeling」という表現は文法的に正しくなく、より自然な慣用句である「get their feelings hurt」に修正しました。 また、「had some troubles with their friends」を「have conflicts with classmates」に変更することで、よりフォーマルで的確な語彙を使用し、時制も現在の状況を表す「have」に修正しました。

A1. "So teachers should make chidren safe at their school."
⏩️ so having teachers arrange the seats can help create a safe classroom environment.

Q1. Thanks for joining the study. Today, I'd like to ask you some questions about traveling to new places. First, can you tell me about a memorable trip you took to a place you had never visited before?
A1. One of my most memorable trips was visiting Singapore for the first time. I was really excited because Singapore is a multi-cultural country, and I wanted to experience that. I enjoyed exploring the city, talking with people from different backgrounds, and trying new foods. I especially loved the local cuisine, like Hainanese chicken rice and meepok noodles. Also, I had the chance to visit some temples and see how people practice their religions there, which was really interesting for me.

Q2. I see. When visiting a new destination, do you prefer to travel alone or with companions? Why?
A2. Well, I prefer to travel alone to places I haven’t seen before. There are a few reasons for this. First, sometimes going with others doesn’t always make the trip better, especially if there might be dangerous situations like accidents or unexpected incidents. For example, when I visited Turkey, I felt more comfortable going by myself because I didn’t want to worry about my friends or family’s safety. Overall, I like having the freedom to explore new places on my own.

Q3. Good points. Airports often introduce rules about baggage limits that might make travel less comfortable but help speed up security checks. Do you think such policies are necessary for travel? Why or why not?
A3. I think these baggage policies are important for traveling because they help keep everyone’s belongings safe and make the process faster at the airport. When people only bring a small amount of luggage, it’s easier for security to check everything, and there’s less chance of losing something. Also, when traveling to places that might not be as safe, like some areas in Asia, it’s better to carry less so you can watch your things more closely. So, I believe these policies are necessary.

Q4. Interesting. Do you think that traveling to new places will become more common or less common in the next ten years? Explain your thoughts.
A4. I think traveling to new places will become less common in the next decade. One reason is that international relations seem to be getting worse, which can make traveling more difficult and risky. For example, there have been recent conflicts between countries, like the United States and Venezuela. Because of these issues, many people, including my family, might feel less safe or interested in traveling abroad.

A1. "looking forward to seeing it."
⏩️ and I wanted to experience that.

A2. "First, the country isn't always make us happier."
⏩️ First, sometimes going with others doesn’t always make the trip better, especially if there might be dangerous situations like accidents or unexpected incidents.

A3. "I think it is important for us to make a policy for traveling procedures like carrying small belongings."
⏩️ I think these baggage policies are important for traveling because they help keep everyone’s belongings safe and make the process faster at the airport.

A4. "the government and the world international relations become worse compared to last previous years."
⏩️ international relations seem to be getting worse, which can make traveling more difficult and risky.

Government has a responsibility to spend tax money on projects that benefit the people, and providing opportunities for workers to receive new training is important for the future. Companies should monitor employee performance, but it is difficult for them to always pay for all the necessary training, especially when it is very expensive. If the government does not support workers’ training, it may slow the country’s economic growth and development. For example, Japanese workers are skilled in building cars, but without further training, they might not keep up with new technologies. Supporting training helps both workers and the entire nation prosper.

⏩️ Government has a responsibility to spend tax money on projects that benefit the people, and providing opportunities for workers to receive new training is important for the future.
「people they may concern」という漠然とした表現を「projects that benefit the people」と具体的にすることで、政府の責任が国民全体に利益をもたらすプロジェクトへの税金投入であることを明確にしました。

A1. "Company has an obligation to oversee employees' performance but not to have a substantial budget for their training."
⏩️ Companies should monitor employee performance, but it is difficult for them to always pay for all the necessary training, especially when it is very expensive.
代わりに、「it is difficult for them to always pay for all the necessary training, especially when it is very expensive」とすることで、企業が常に全てのトレーニング費用を負担することの困難さ、特に高額なトレーニングの場合の課題を具体的に示し、より説得力のある議論になっています。

A1. "If govermennt does not want workers to help their training, government must give up gowing the nation's prosperities."
⏩️ If the government does not support workers’ training, it may slow the country’s economic growth and development.

Building a beautiful park or planting green spaces is a good way to spend city funds, but I prefer using the budget to improve infrastructure, such as public roads. People cannot fully enjoy parks or green areas if they face heavy traffic jams or uncomfortable roads. Repairing roads and improving public transportation helps everyone travel safely and quickly. It can also provide more jobs for workers and attract visitors, which benefits the city as a whole. For these reasons, I think cities should prioritize fixing their infrastructure before focusing on beautifying the community.

A1. "Today I would like to inform you of one of my colleagues performance and my suggestion."
⏩️ I would like to highlight one of my colleagues’ outstanding efforts and share my suggestion.
「one of my colleagues performance」は文法的に正しくありません。 また、「inform you of... and my suggestion」を「highlight... and share my suggestion」にすることで、提案の意図がより明確に伝わるようになります。

A1. Communication makes us happier because we have to bond to connect people, each other. For example, students and teachers in schools have relationships. Of course, we can learn many things from online. But I think the student in school has highly motivated to study.

Q2. Good points. When talking with others about a disagreement, do you prefer to be direct and open about your feelings, or do you tend to be more polite and avoid conflict? Why?
A2. I should people avoid avoid talking in a direct way even in close relationships. For example, if I work in at office, say indirectly is a bad way to communicate each other. So if I report, if I level the problem, honestly, it is a very bad thing for my bosses. My boss feels bad and he got angry.

Q1. Thank you for participating. Today, I'd like to ask you some questions about styles of communication in social relationships. First, can you describe a situation where the way you communicated helped or hurt your relationship with a friend or family member?
A1. Communication is really important in our relationships because it helps us connect and understand each other. For example, when I talk openly with my friends or family about my feelings or about problems, it usually makes our relationship stronger. But if I keep things inside or don’t express myself well, it can sometimes lead to misunderstandings or hurt feelings. So, the way I communicate can really help or hurt my relationships, depending on how clear and honest I am.

Q2. Good points. When talking with others about a disagreement, do you prefer to be direct and open about your feelings, or do you tend to be more polite and avoid conflict? Why?
A2. I think people should avoid being too direct, even in close relationships. For example, if I work in an office, talking about problems too openly can create tension. If I report issues honestly, my boss might feel bad or get angry. So, I think it's better to be polite and try not to create conflict, especially at work.

Q3. Interesting. At group gatherings, it is common for a few people to lead conversations while others mostly listen. Do you think it's important for everyone in a group to participate equally in conversations? Why or why not?
A3. I don’t think it’s necessary for everyone to participate equally in group conversations. People have different personalities—some are more talkative, while others prefer to listen. For example, quiet people might just enjoy hearing others’ stories instead of sharing their own. Forcing everyone to talk the same amount could make some people uncomfortable, so it’s better to let everyone join in however they feel most comfortable.

Q4. Thank you. For my last question, I'd like to ask about changes in social communication. Do you think that texting and online chat will become the main way people communicate in close relationships, or will face-to-face conversations remain more important? Why or why not?
A4. I think face-to-face communication will still be more important in close relationships. While texting and online chat are really popular because they're easy and fast, they can't really replace real conversations. When you talk in person, you can see people's expressions and feelings more clearly, which helps make connections stronger. Texting is helpful, but face-to-face conversations create a deeper understanding between people.

A1. "For example, students and teachers in schools have relationships."
⏩️ For example, when I talk openly with my friends or family about my feelings or about problems, it usually makes our relationship stronger.

A2. "say indirectly is a bad way to communicate each other."

A3. "I disagree. All group members should talk equally in their conversations."

I think it is important for students to learn in a good environment, so seat arrangement is important for them. Teachers should not decide all of the seating by themselves, but they should have a role in adjusting it. At first, students should discuss and choose their seats, since they know who they feel comfortable with. However, if problems arise, such as students being distracted or not getting along, then teachers should change some seats and explain their reasons for doing so. This way, students will understand why changes were made, and both their needs and classroom harmony are respected.

A1. "Students are sure of their seat."
⏩️ since they know who they feel comfortable with.

We seldom use air mail now because it cost a lot of money and takes a long time to reach to your Pen Pals.

I think children's connection is important for their growth, so I support Paul's opinion about pen pals. Social media has both pros and cons. For example, it can connect children with others around the world, helping them learn about different cultures and ideas. However, there is also a risk that they are exposed to unimportant or even harmful information. Social media can play a similar role as traditional pen pals, but it is much faster and cheaper than sending letters by mail. Still, adults should supervise children's use to help protect them from negative influences.

A1. "it can connect people all over the world but it might access unimportant information."
⏩️ it can connect children with others around the world, helping them learn about different cultures and ideas. However, there is also a risk that they are exposed to unimportant or even harmful information.
また、接続詞「but」を「However, there is also a risk that...」

A1. "it might access unimportant information."
⏩️ However, there is also a risk that they are exposed to unimportant or even harmful information.

A1. "Social media can have a significsnt role as a traditional Pen Pals."
⏩️ Social media can play a similar role as traditional pen pals,
また、「have a role」をより自然なイディオムである「play a role」に改善しました。

A1. "invest what is happened."
⏩️ Could you please check the software version and see what happened?

Q1. Thank you for participating. Today, I'd like to ask you some questions about exploring future careers and workplace choices. First, can you describe a job or type of career you are interested in and explain what attracts you to it?
A1. I'm interested in running an art gallery business. Right now, I work at another company, but in the future, I'd like to help my father, who is a painter. This is why I want to learn more about management and how to establish an art gallery, so I can support his work and also promote art in my community.

Q2. Good points. When thinking about your future job, would you rather work in an office setting or have a job that allows you to work remotely from different locations? Why?
A2. I would prefer a remote job, so I can work from different locations. This is because I need to live with my father, who is 75 years old and needs my support. Although working in an urban office is easier for building networks with colleagues, a remote job would help me take care of my family while still being able to work and possibly connect with others online.

Q3. I see. Some workplaces offer flexible schedules, allowing employees to choose when they work, but this can sometimes make teamwork more difficult. Do you think flexible schedules are a good idea in most workplaces? Why or why not?
A3. I think a flexible schedule is really good for employees or entrepreneurs. For example, I have to work during the day because in the evening I need to pick up my children from elementary and nursery schools, so I can’t attend meetings at night. If a flexible schedule is available, I would definitely use it because it helps me balance my work and family more easily.

Q4. Thank you. Jobs continue to change with new technology and communication tools. Do you think traditional office jobs will become less common or remain the standard over the next decade? Why or why not?
A4. I think traditional office jobs will become less common in the next decade. This is because technology has made it much easier for people to work online using tools like Zoom or Microsoft Teams. We don’t really need to go to a physical office anymore, since we can connect and finish our tasks from anywhere. So, I believe remote work will continue to grow and traditional office work will decrease.

A1. "I'm interested in this thing, run the art gallery businesses."
⏩️ I'm interested in running an art gallery business.

A2. "I want to work as uh uh desolated uh places uh of"
⏩️ I would prefer a remote job, so I can work from different locations.

A4. "So I think we don't have to stay up at my current office retrieval."
⏩️ We don’t really need to go to a physical office anymore, since we can connect and finish our tasks from anywhere.
「we don't have to stay up at my current office retrieval」という表現は非常に不自然で、意図が伝わりにくかったですね。「We don’t really need to go to a physical office anymore」と修正することで、物理的なオフィスに行く必要がないという明確な主張になっています。

settllementは綴りミスで、正しくはsettlements(名詞複数形)です。
agriculturesは不可算名詞のagricultural(形容詞)が必要です。
specificateは適切な語形ではなく、specialized(形容詞「専門化した」)が正解です📚。

Q1. Thank you for participating. Today, I'd like to ask you some questions about exploring future careers and workplace choices. First, can you describe a job or type of career you are interested in and explain what attracts you to it?
A1. I'm interested in art and art gallery businesses. Right now, I work in a different field, but in the future, I want to follow my father's path as a painter. He's a talented artist, but he sometimes finds it hard to manage his finances. That’s why I want to help him, and also learn how to combine art with business skills, so I can support him and maybe run an art gallery one day.

Q2. Good points. When thinking about your future job, would you rather work in an office setting or have a job that allows you to work remotely from different locations? Why?
A2. I’d prefer to have a job that allows me to work remotely. I do like the stability of an office, but my hometown is pretty isolated, so having a remote job would let me access more business opportunities even if I stay in my local area. Remote work also gives me more flexibility, so I don't have to move so often.

Q3. I see. Some workplaces offer flexible schedules, allowing employees to choose when they work, but this can sometimes make teamwork more difficult. Do you think flexible schedules are a good idea in most workplaces? Why or why not?
A3. I don’t really support flexible schedules, especially when people need to work together on projects. In my current office, we often spend a lot of extra time just trying to coordinate meetings because everyone’s working at different times. I think it’s better if employees can gather in person at least sometimes to discuss and work together more efficiently.

Q4. Thank you. Jobs continue to change with new technology and communication tools. Do you think traditional office jobs will become less common or remain the standard over the next decade? Why or why not?
A4. I think traditional office jobs will become less common over the next decade. With new AI technology and better communication tools, a lot of business tasks can be solved more efficiently, even outside the office. For example, at my workplace, I started using new software for time management, which makes it easier to work remotely. So, I believe more people will work from home or in different locations instead of going to a traditional office every day.

A1. "I'd like to know and study about art, art gallery, businesses."
⏩️ I'm interested in art and art gallery businesses.
「I'd like to know and study about」は「I'm interested in」という表現にすることで、より自然で簡潔に興味を表すことができます。

A2. ✅ Remote work also gives me more flexibility, so I don't have to move so often.

A3. ✅ because everyone’s working at different times.

⏩️ I think traditional office jobs will become less common over the next decade.

Non-vegans pack Britain’s first vegan Michelin-star restaurant

At Plates, the first vegan restaurant in Britain to earn a coveted Michelin star, the tables are packed — but not with vegans. He dismisses any notion that this is a passing fad.

About 95% of diners still eat meat, but curiosity is growing. Michelin star owner Kirk Haworth says proof that plant-based fine dining is winning diners is in breaking out of its niche.

Haworth, who co-founded Plates in London with his sister, avoids the “vegan” label. He wants diners to judge dishes on taste, not ideology.

“I always say we’re a fine dining restaurant. I don’t say that we’re vegan,” Haworth said. “Food should be judged on flavor.”

Trained in Michelin-starred kitchens worldwide, he was forced to rethink his diet after being diagnosed with Lyme disease more than a decade ago. By cutting out meat, dairy or refined sugar, he said his chronic inflammation eased.

Plates became the first plant-based restaurant in Britain to earn a Michelin star earlier this year. It opened 18 months ago after years of pop-ups. Today, the restaurant is fully booked until the end of March.

“We’re not trying to replace meat or make things look like fish,” Haworth said. “We showcase acidity, umami and layers that make food exciting.”

Despite the Michelin accolade, Haworth has no plans to expand. Instead, he aims to refine the experience and perhaps earn a second star.

“The process is the most fun part,” he said with a smile.

He was the first to arrive.(彼は到着した最初の人だった。)

この部分の意味は,「a milestone(画期的な出来事)の象徴である」ということです。

"I found you might not be submit your monthly timesheet."
⏩️ I noticed that your monthly timesheet has not been submitted yet.
「found you might not be submit」は文法的に正しくありません。

✅ Late submissions can delay payroll processing for everyone, which is why it’s important to send your timesheet on time.

"I know you won't wait your salary in this month."
⏩️ Please send me your completed timesheet as soon as you can so there are no issues with your salary this month.
「I know you won't wait your salary in this month」は「wait your salary」という表現が不自然で、文法的な誤り(正しくは「wait *for* your salary」)を含んでいます。
