友人の付き添いで、サンノゼのジャパンタウンで開かれていた日経祭りに行ってみました。お客さんは殆ど高齢者と、外国人が少しでした。そこはジャパンタウンという名前の通り日本物産のお店や日本食レストランがあるにも関わらず、普段から日本人、特に若い人は本当に見ません。何故でしょうね。きっと、この町に飾られている古い日本人形や外国人が作った日本料理よりも魅力的なものが他の場所にあるのだと思います。私にとって魅力的なものも、他の場所にあります。

　I went to Nikkei Matsuri in Japan town with my friend today. I saw only few Japanese and foreigners and most of customers were elder person. Although there is called Japantown, and you can see things that made from Japan and taste Japanese food, I basically don't see any Japanese, especially young people. I expect that things make young Japanese people happier are the different place. Me either.
