I watched the movie "City of God".
The stage of the movie is the slum town which is close to the Rio de Janairo in Brazil from 1960's to 80's.
The story is about young gangstars in the slum, which is besed on the true story in there. They have survived their days with guns since childhood. The narrator of the story is a boy who was born in the slum and became a journalistic photographer through taking the photos of the gangstars' conflict in his neighborhood.

Through his view, the audience could tell the real life of young people's in the slum. There is not only violence and poverty but also friendship, love, and sorrow, in sum, that's whole human's life itself.

The music and visual of this movie is triumph. Some stop motion sequences are Just like "Rock Stock and Smoking Barrels". That's really cool and show up plenty of talent of the director.
Furthermore, the music and characters which appear in the movie are much more lively and colorful. These elements give us the taste of Brazilian chaotic culture and that's really attractive at the same.
Basically, I don't like to see bloody movies of gangstars, but I could say, in stead of making me sick, this movie show some excitement of the life.
